Fairfax Purple Backpacks
With sizes for little and big kids alike, our Fairfax backpacks are the perfect fit. They're made to be super durable to stand up to the busiest school days, and come packed with pockets so there's plenty of room for all the essentials, and some fun things too. Made from rugged, water-resistant 600-denier polyester. Preschool backpack holds a snack, a change of clothes, and a favorite toy. Small backpack holds a lunch bag, 2 small notebooks, 2 books, and a water bottle. Large holds a lunch bag, 1 large notebook, 2 small notebooks, several books, and a water bottle. Detailed with reflective piping for safety. Adjustable and padded straps ensure a comfortable fit. Fairfax Lunch Bag (sold separately) piggybacks onto the backpack's exterior metal loops. Exterior side pockets are designed to hold our Klean Kanteen water bottles (sold separately).

The Fairfax purple backpack is beautiful, I love the color and the texture, the only bad thing is that is just way too small for my daughter, It looked a lot bigger on the internet but overall she is happy with it.

Backpack that will last for years. My son also has one, it is still in perfect condition and he's been using it for 3 years.

Decals come off

The book bag is a great size for a preschooler. The butterfly decal in the front fell off within 1 week of having it! They need to fix the way the decal is attached..it seems like a little glue is holding it onto the fabric which definitely isn't good for a preschooler!

I bought the small for my preschooler and kindergarten child and it's ok for the preschooler but way too small for kindergarten. It's really too small for preschool. I went by measurements. The large backpack would be great for preschool and kindergarten. I'm going to try to return it but i have it monogrammed and it doesn't hold a 3 ring binder (small one) without stressing the zipper. The pros would be that the zipper might hold up through the stress! It's very good quality. cute; just as pictured. just don't want to be carrying stuff after spending the money for a nice backpack.

Love the bag BUT.....

This is the second backpack that I have bought from Pottery barn kids. I shop from here constantly and usually I am absolutely thrilled, however the quality of this one doesn't seem as great as the Mackenzie backpack. The horse patch has fallen off after 5 days and all of the pulls on the zippers have frayed. I also purchased the matching lunch box which did the same thing. I assumed the patch was sewed on but that obviously was not the case. The bag is ok without it but I am disappointed.

I just received this backpack for my daughter who will be starting preschool in a couple of weeks. It is very cute, however, I was a little disappointed with the size. I ordered a preschool backpack 3 years ago & it has a bit more room. I would recommend this bag, however, I just want future buyers to be prepared for the size. The tag says that the side pockets are for water bottles, but there is no way to fit any type of drink in them. If you are ok with just putting the drink inside, then the bag is great. I have two diapers, travel case of wipes, and the sippy cup inside & the bag is full!!! I still need to fit an extra change of clothes!?! Like I said, it is very adorable & well made, just small! I would also like to compliment the customer service that I received when I called PBK. They were very kind & willing to check other bag sizes for me before I order a backpack for my oldest daughter. Thanks!

I bought the Fairfax purple backpack in a size small for my four-year-old daughter to carry to preschool and beyond. I purchased with the horse patch, as we have horses, but the purples do not match. The purples on the patch are much bluer, even though it's advertised this way in the catologue. I'm still happy with it though, given my daughter's like for purple over pink, and her affection for horses. I also personalized it with our last name in white, which even my husband thought was cool. Part of the reason I did this was because my daughter's name has two capital letters, and this wasn't an option with the embroidery. It was kind of a bummer. With the straps at their smallest, the backpack stays on. We did just get it today, so it has not been filled. I like all the padding, though, to protect her little back from any pokey school supplies. I hope this lasts her for several years to come.
