Fairfax Green Backpacks
With sizes for little and big kids alike, our Fairfax backpacks are the perfect fit. They're made to be super durable to stand up to the busiest school days, and come packed with pockets so there's plenty of room for all the essentials, and some fun things too. Made from rugged, water-resistant 600-denier polyester. Mini backpack holds a snack, a change of clothes, and a favorite toy. Small backpack holds a lunch bag, 2 small notebooks, 2 books, and a water bottle. Large holds a lunch bag, 1 large notebook, 2 small notebooks, several books, and a water bottle. Detailed with reflective piping for safety. Adjustable and padded straps ensure a comfortable fit. Fairfax Lunch Bag (sold separately) piggybacks onto the backpack's exterior metal loops. Exterior side pockets are designed to hold our Klean Kanteen water bottles (sold separately).

the preschool bag is cute. but enough space for a sipper cup and thats about it. quality is lacking. big time.

Very bad quality...

Looks great but the quality is very very poor...it's been just 3 weeks since my son started to use and already the bag is torn and the lunch bag's zipper is ripped..I usually don't write reviews but this bag is so bad that I had to write n let people know that the brand name is not enough to make a purchase..I wish I'd get a refund

Decreased quality from past product

5 years ago, we ordered the Fairfax bookbag and lunchbox for my son for nursery and playschool. He carried the bags for 5 years-they were even washed a time or two-and still look brand new. When he started kindergarten this year, I felt confident in purchasing the bag again. Although it did look adorable upon arrival, the decrease in quality with regard to fabric weight, size, and trimmings was apparent. After only a few weeks of carrying the bag, the zipper pulls began to unravel. On a positive note, Pottery Barn customer service was very accommodating and made the process of exchange and replacement painless. We are trying a bookbag from a new collection this time. Pottery Barn--bravo on customer service, but please do not decrease the quality of your product-that is what has always drawn me to Pottery Barn over other retailers.

Don't buy this backpack too SMALL!

I bought the preschool backpack for my son who just turned 3. It is way too small to put anything in. It reminds me of a doll backpack! Paid way too much for this not to be able to use! :( Will never buy a backpack from PBK again!

Great, but sizing could be an issue

We bought the Pre-K size backpack for our son who is 21 months. I LOVE it, but it is a little small if you need to put several things inside. It fits him perfectly (when he wears it), but the only thing that fits inside is his blanket for nap time! We also bought the matching lunch box, which is equally adorable and fits everything just fine. If he starts bringing home more than just a daily report, I may upsize and use this one for trips.

Way to Small!!

Last year, when my oldest son started kindergarten I bought him the PBK size small Spiderman backpack, and it was the perfect size. So, this year when my other son started kindergarten, I again purchased the size small backpack, but this time in Fairfax (he just had to have the Hulk). Well, silly me for assuming all PBK backpacks labeled size "small" would be approximately the same size. The small Fairfax backpack is awful. It is so small it won't even hold a single standard sized folder. Why bother selling a school backpack that isn't even appropriately sized for the most basic of school materials?? (I can't even imagine how small the "preschool" size must be!)
