Fairfax Chocolate Backpacks
With sizes for little and big kids alike, our Fairfax backpacks are the perfect fit. They're made to be super durable to stand up to the busiest school days, and come packed with pockets so there's plenty of room for all the essentials, and some fun things too. Made from rugged, water-resistant 600-denier polyester. Preschool backpack holds a snack, a change of clothes, and a favorite toy. Small backpack holds a lunch bag, 2 small notebooks, 2 books, and a water bottle. Large and Rolling hold a lunch bag, 1 large notebook, 2 small notebooks, several books, and a water bottle. Detailed with reflective piping for safety. Adjustable and padded straps ensure a comfortable fit. Fairfax Lunch Bag (sold separately) piggybacks onto the backpack's exterior metal loops. Exterior side pockets are designed to hold our Klean Kanteen water bottles (sold separately).

Don't waist your money on the patch!!

I ordered the small backpack fo my daughter for preschool and son for Kindergarten. The size and quality of the backpack I thought was fine, but the patches are iron on and fell off within 20 mins!! They are still cute without the patch, just sorry I wasted my money on the patch!

I bought this backpack for future use for my daughter. We are still using a diaper bag right now, but I hope to transition to this when we start potty training.

Wonderful, but Unraveling Threading

Overall, this is such a cute back pack for my daughter, however after only three days of having it the threading on the zipper on the back pack begin to unravel. :( The same thing with my son's backpack as well...

Cute but extremely small!

I ordered the preschool backpack without checking out the measurements and couldn't believe how small it was. It barely fits my 16 month old, looks like a baby doll backpack. It's super cute but you better size up if it's for a preschooler!

Cute but not Functional

Purchased the rolling backpack for my 4th grader. Handle does not easily come up or push back down when finished rolling backpack around. Not large enough to hold all her books. Very cute but not functional. Doesn't roll well either when books are inside. Disappointed!

Toooooooo small

Backpack arrived today after a month on back order. Unfortunately it is sometimes required to see the item in front of you to really get an idea of what it's like. The dimensions of this pack are given (we ordered the small for our first grade daughter who is a bit shorter than most of her class mates) but the reality is that it is WAY TOO SMALL!!!!! and looking at the dimensions of the large would make it way too big. We had it personalized for her so we are stuck with essentially a useless backpack. My advice to anyone looking at it is don't buy it! You will likely be discouraged at the money you just wasted.

Iron-On Patch?!

I ordered the small backpack for my rather small Kindergartner. WAY too small! Her 3-ring communication binder would not even fit inside it. The small is really more a preschool backpack size. I don't want my little girl to have a huge backpack, but it needs to at least hold a binder! In addition, I ordered the owl patch, and it was already PEELING OFF when it arrived. When did PBKids start using iron-on patches? It really needs to be sewn on. Very disappointed in this.

Love the look but not the quality!

I purchased this for my daughter to use for Preschool. The first time I received it there was a whole in the bottom of the bag and the dimensions were not what was advertised in the description. They graciously sent me a new one and the same problem. I went for a third try and while the bag did not have a whole in it, the dimensions were still off and the tabs were fraying. I am very dissapointed in this bag. I had hoped she would be able to use this for the next two years but that will not happen. Also with all the sending back and forth she did not have for her first day of school :(
Also the sizing is strange I almost ordered the preschool size but glad I went to store to check out sizing as it was way too small. I ordered the SMALL size for my 3 year old and it fits perfectly.
Regarding the quality - I think pottery barn needs to rethink this one. I am one dissapointed customer and will purchase a backpack from another company.
