The Elf on the Shelf(R)
This clever holiday book uses playful rhymes and an entertaining story to remind kids that Santa is watching who's naughty and nice. The accompanying elf keeps an eye on children by day, reports to the North Pole after bedtime and returns to a different location in the home, creating a fun hide-and-seek game each morning. 11" wide x 10.5" long Elf is made of felt and plastic.

Disappointing

It was apparent the box had been opened previously (perhaps a returned item?). The elf was supposed to be a light-haired girl and it was a dark-haired boy. Quality control was not up to par on this item.

My daughter is 2 and absolutely loves this! She is somewhat addicted to the elf and is really enjoying this for our new Christmas addition. Very special indeed. Highly recommended.

We finally decided to get an elf this year since my daughter is finally old enough to grasp the concept. We all love it and my daughter loves waking up to find her! As always, our item was delivered even earlier than expected! We love PBK!

I purchased the Elf on a Shelf for my grandson. I learned of this from a friend and her daughter last Christmas - what a truly fun tradition. Her daughter had so much fun with this. Received mine today and can't wait to start this tradition with my grandson! The book is great and will be so fun for him to read through and then the elf will appear. My daughter, son-in-law and I are so excited!

I think the product itsself is super cute. My 5 yr. old just loves it!! I think it's a bit over priced for what you get.
I'm pretty happy with the product just not happy at all with how long it took for Pottery Barn to process my order. I ordered this item online on a Mon. morning and they didn't even process my order until Wed. night. It's ridiculous that it took them 2 1/2 days just to even process my order. No acceptable!!!

My family has been enjoying this the past few holidays so I just bought these for gifts. This set is great quality! The elf is very detailed (too cute!) he sits/balances perfectly! The book has beautiful illustrations and the story is easy for little ones to understand and one that I do not get tired of rereading! (And now that PBK sells the Elf PJ's and tablewear, that has added to the fun!) This has brought so much added joy to the holiday season! And my kids are very careful about being extra good since Elf is watching! (The only thing that was a slight issue is that this is not supposed to be a play toy but we solved that by finding the large size plush elf which is a toy of this to play with while this "real" Elf sits watching over the kids! We love this set!
