Somewhat comfortable
June 4, 2011
I've had been looking at the perfect rocker, went to the store and tried all different ones hoping to find the perfect one. What i've noticed about this one is that it does not have enough lumbar support. Another thing is that if you are shorter than average your legs will not reach the floor unless you sit near the edge but what's the point of getting a comfy chair if you can't enjoy the comfort. This chair will work great and be comfortable for a tall person and adding a little pillow for lumbar support.

love it
September 29, 2010
bought it about five years ago,
used it when my baby was born, slept in it with him, sit on it all the time still. just moved it to the family room and bought a set of new slip covers for it to change the look, (which the old ones held up just fine), thinking of buying the match, for the money you can not go wrong, will last. I do have 2 other bigger kids, everyone has used it.

Love this chair
June 30, 2010
I bought this chair in butter yellow a few years ago when I was pregnant with my daughter and it was so versatile I used it in my son's nursery. It's comfortable and is a nice piece of furniture. It washes beautifully, and I've never had any trouble with the slip cover- I recommend machine washing and hang to dry.

Looks great, but not very user friendly
May 11, 2010
I bought this chair because I loved the way it looked and thought it would grow with our kids, from nursing rocker to reading chair....unfortunately the "slipcover removed for cleaning" does not work. You would need to dry clean it. It does NOT wash at all without shrinking so much that it doesn't fit back on the chair. I can't zip it at all and there is a five inch gap on both sides. The chair also pitches forward when you sit in it, so you really need the ottoman to be able to put your feet up and sit comfortably.

Holes in my Wall!
April 28, 2010
The way these rocker slides when you get up, it has gauged holes in my walls- in 2 different rooms where we have put it. It is so heavy that when you attempt to move it with a baby in your arms so the legs do not stick into the walls, it is extremely difficult. It is a beautiful looking chair and quite comfortable, but we(and 2 other of my friends) have been so frustrated with this aspect of the chair. I woudl recommend a glider instead, but I can't use those b/c they give me motion sickness!

Favorite seat in the house
February 28, 2010
I wanted a rocker for my daycare that didn't have hardware exposed to catch little fingers. I bought a rocker first from another store, it lasted all of 6 months. SO my mom suggested going to Pottery Barn. I walked in and tested each rocking chair. I decided on this because of the large seating area and a demin cover. I have had it 5 years now and it it is very well loved and is the favorite seat in the house.

Best Rocking Chair Ever
February 8, 2010
I got this rocker 2 days after my son was born when I realized that I couldn't comfortably nurse him in any location in our house. I sent my husband to PBK and told him to buy whatever one they had in stock... I knew I wanted something comfy and cozy but firm enough that I could get in and out of easily. This is what he came home with and I've used it every day for the past 2-1/2 years. Now, I'm expecting the arrival of a baby girl and I am about to place an order for a new slipcover! Best investment ever!
