a nice gift

i bought this playmat for our daughter before birth. i liked it except for the fact that it's "spot clean only". after 5 months of using it i decided i would just take the risk and put it in the washing machine! (what's the point in making anything for babies / kids that isn't washable?!) i washed it at 30 degrees (celcius) on a normal cycle - and it came out fine!
i recently just bought the treetop activity gym and thought that with the minimal price difference i should've just gotten an activity gym for her from the beginning - but now that i have the gym i realise that the playmat is much thicker and softer.
we had ours monogrammed and it gives it a nice touch - would recommend it as a gift or for babies in their first few months of life.

I loved the design of this, however I am not sure how well this will hold up. And, I know the size was given...but it does seem small. It if cute as can be, tho.

Didn't Stand Up

Normally I praise anything I get from Pottery Barn, but this play mat didn't hold up to my five-month old. He got it for Christmas and had pulled off the dangling toys within a month of having it. Aside from that, the mat is nice and padded. It could also be bigger. After just a couple of months we stopped using it because the baby needed more space to play.

Softest Spot for your baby

We love this playmat. it's adorable, soft and cuddly. It would make a unique and special gift. My little girl loves playing on it in the living room and it's nice soft pastel colors fit in nicely with any decor. We plan to keep it way past the "baby" stage for little picnics and for doll play.
