Heads Up..."White" is Cream!

I loved the ease of putting these shelves up as many of the regular PB shelves are a pain to put up if your wall is even slightly less than flat. There is a wood bracket that the shelf slides on to and it took 10 minutes to put it up. The shelf looks beautiful on the wall. However, if you are looking for a true white, you will be disappointed. These are cream colored. It happened to work fine for my son's room because he has the Kingston nursery and blue madras curtains and the curtains have a cream in them, but for a girl's room that tends to have more white or if you have the harper nursery set, it might not work. Love them otherwise!

This shelf is perfect ... easy to hang and looks great in my new son's room. I actually put grey primer on it and painted it candy apple red to coordinate with the red and blue train them baby room we just did! It looks great against a blue wall and red gingham curtains.

Not Espresso

This shelf is of a nice design, but the color espresso is not espresso. It is more of a mahogany color. It will not match other PBkids espresso woods.

Love the shelf, it's beautiful and great quality. However, I was disappointed in the color of the espresso. My baby's room is an espresso color, dark rich brown. This espresso has a reddish tint to it so it didn't match. I would probably label this almost like a dark mahogany more so than espresso. It was way off. Otherwise, it would have been a great addition to the nursery decor.

These are not 'White'

I was really excited that someone bought these for us off of our registry. Then they arrived and they are not White, they are ivory which make a big difference when you are putting them above a White dresser. Now I have to pay shipping to return them. Very disapointed.

Beautiful addition to the nursery

I bought two of these shelves for our daughter's nursery and we mounted them as in the picture with one on top of the other. I am quite happy with this selection! They look great!! We mostly have the gallery frames with baby pictures on them but our daughter received a baby doll from American Girl and she actually sits on the shelf nicely as well. Will definitely buy more of these shelves.

Looks beautiful in the nursery! Really easy to install. I was not convinced of this when I initially opened the box. The instructions are a little long and at first glance (from a NON-handy person) appear a little complicated. But when you actually read step-by-step, it is very simple. (The instructions are just very detailed!)

Stores are full of shelves to purchase, but took a chance on this one. It is well made, easy to hang, and finished expertly. It stands above others I've tried. If attention to detail is your decorating style, this will fit the bill. Not the most economical in price, but worth it!

Great Shelves, Easy to Install!

My husband and I ordered these shelves to put above the changing table in our nursery. Not only are these shelves nice quality but they are very easy to install. We are very happy with our purchase and highly recommend them.
Note the shelves are not a true white they are an off white/closer to a cream color.

This product is great if you are looking for it in any color other than espresso. PB's "espresso" is actually cherry. Don't buy anything besides white or black from them without first seeing it in person. Other than the fact that it matches NOTHING that is espresso in my nursery its great. LOL

PBK white is actually cream

The style of this shelf is beautiful, but I ordered white hoping it would match the trim & beadboard in the nursery, but the shelf is a cream, off white color. Apparently this is typical of PBK "white" furniture. They really need to change the description of the color to CREAM, because most people expect white to easily match other white furniture/trim. I thought I might paint over it, but it's covered with veneers which would make painting more of a job than it's worth. Will be returning this purchase. Sad it doesn't match.

Great shelf annoying sticker

This shelf looks great in my daughters room. It was easy to install, made well and a nice size. My only complaint is that the 1.5"x4" sticker placed on the bottom of the shelf was very difficult to remove. It took me at least 10 minutes to remove the sticker and sticky residue. While removing it I was concerned I would scratch the shelf. For such an expensive item I would think the manufacturer could have placed the sticker on the back of the shelf where the sticker wouldn't be seen and removal wouldn't be so necessary.

nice shelving...horrible stickers

Great shelving. My only complaint is that there are two large stickers affixed to the bottom and top of the shelf that DO NOT come off very easily. I spent half an hour trying to remove them and had to resort to a solvent. I was afraid I was going to damage the wood. I would suggest that pottery barn use a low tack sticker or put them on the back of the shelf so they are hidden by the wall....a very annoying experience.

classic shelving

I was so disappointed with this item. i was looking all around for nice shelves for my girls room, when i finally found this nice one at pottery barn. I liked them so much that i ordered them even though they were a bit pricey. When they finally arrived they were actually yellow instead of the white they appeared to be online. They clash the whole decor of the room and it was a big pain to return these large shelves.

Purchased two of these shelves, one in cream and one in espresso. They look wonderful with the matching color furniture and create such character in any room when decorated. We put three 11 x 14 matted frames under the shelf... then below is a dresser. Love the look! Again, well made and big enough to hold many treasures!

We just got finished hanging these shelves in my daughter's nursery. Love them! My only complaint is that the holes in the back are not 16" on center so we had to drill an extra hole in bracket in order to hit more than one stud... this was kind of annoying. As far as look, you will not be disappointed!

Sturdy Shelf

This shelf looks very nice when hung on the wall. It definitely has a decorative feel vs a plain shelf. Installation is easy and it's the perfect depth for holding several different items.
