Beautiful shelves but inconsistent color

We ordered 2 simply white classic shelves for our daughters room and were really excited to hang them. Unfortunately when we opened them they were 2 completely different colors. Even across the room from each other they were noticeably different. One was a bright white (what we expected from the simply white color) and the other was a creamy off white. We ended up exchanging shelves 3 times before getting 2 shelves that looked close enough to the same color of white although still not exactly the same. I love the look of these shelves but you wouldn't think it would be that difficult to have 2 of the exact same product be the same color. The staff was extremely helpful through all of the exchanges! These are beautiful shelves but wouldn't recommend them unless you only plan on hanging one in a room. Maybe the other color would be better!

I really liked the style of these shelves, but they are not truly white like the rest of my non-PB furniture. So unfortunately I will be lugging them back to the store this weekend.

I ordered two of the white shelves for my daughter's nursery. They are good quality and look beautiful in her room with the rest of her PBK decor. I just wish you offered more items in simply white.

High quality display shelf

After reading reviews of similar shelves from various retailers I decided to purchase 3 of these. I'm so glad I did. The quality is what you'd expect from Pottery Barn Kids and they look great. We will enjoy them for years to come.

be aware of little flaws in the finish of the product. Some of the paint doesn't look completely finished in some areas, or little divits in others. Overall a nice looking shelf, but expected better overall quality from PB.

This shelf looks great. I bought the simply white. It is white, but not too bright. It blends with my antique white furniture but also looks fine next to the regular white painted trim on the walls. Easy installation and sturdy enough for several light items. I am not sure I would put a lot of super heavy items on it though. I wish it came in dark expresso brown too. Definetly recommend this shelf.

After shopping several weeks for white shelving for our nursery, we finally settled on these. They are much more expensive than plain white boards you'd find at the hardware store or discount retailer, but they are worth every penny. We absolutely love them! We purchased the "simply white," which is actually white. Apparently PBK listened to the complaints about "white" being cream and now offers a "simply white.". This matches the white furniture and trim in our nursery perfectly.

I LOVED this shelf. I purchase the evony color. It sits on the wall very securely. I previously bought a shelf without legs and I end up taking it down because it was not very sturdy and bought this shelf to replace it. I'm so glad I did.

These shelves are great, loved the look and quality of them however I had to return them because the color did not match my furniture. The color espresso is much lighter than my espresso furniture.

While the shelf is extremely sturdy & well built, the color "espresso" that Pottery Barn Kids claims this to be, is in fact a medium deep cherry/cedar red. It look nothing like the other espresso furniture in the room. I'll make do as I need shelves & these are very well made. I'm just disappointed with the obvious color discrepancy on PBK part.

Heads Up..."White" is Cream!

I loved the ease of putting these shelves up as many of the regular PB shelves are a pain to put up if your wall is even slightly less than flat. There is a wood bracket that the shelf slides on to and it took 10 minutes to put it up. The shelf looks beautiful on the wall. However, if you are looking for a true white, you will be disappointed. These are cream colored. It happened to work fine for my son's room because he has the Kingston nursery and blue madras curtains and the curtains have a cream in them, but for a girl's room that tends to have more white or if you have the harper nursery set, it might not work. Love them otherwise!

This shelf is perfect ... easy to hang and looks great in my new son's room. I actually put grey primer on it and painted it candy apple red to coordinate with the red and blue train them baby room we just did! It looks great against a blue wall and red gingham curtains.
