Catalina Bunk Bed
Our Catalina Bunk Bed is carefully crafted for timeless style and lasting comfort. 42.5" wide x 80" long x 69" high Expertly crafted with a solid wood frame. Slat-roll foundation on lower bunk is designed for use without a box spring. Use as a bunk bed now, and then later as 2 twin-sized beds. I ordered the bunk bed for my 2 daughters and they love it! It is very well made and the white finish looks perfect in their room. We have average height ceilings and it fits perfectly in the space with plenty of room for my eight year old to sit on her top bunk. It does have the sticker (white with black print) on the middle section of top headboard. I haven't tried to remove it yet but it's not very noticeable because our bed is positioned against the back corner. Definitely also a plus that it was completely set up in the room for us!

We received this bed today for our 2 young daughters. We were very pleased with the craftmanship. We looked at several beds, read all of the comments, and proceeded to order the Catalina, and are not disappointed. Solid and sturdy. I was concerned about the warning stickers, and let me tell you that you should believe what you read. They are a pain to remove. Kind of like grandma's old wallpaper. You remove one layer and another one needs to be removed. Goo gone worked for me. My only other comment is that I am surprised the bed didn't come with screw hole covers. The silver screws are very obvious on a beautiful white bed. My husband didn't think it was a big deal, but I did. Other than that, it is a great bed.

This is a great bunkbed. It is very sturdy and looks fantastic. I think having it assembled by others is also a great idea, and well worth the $150. I have ordered a second one.

Cute Beds!

I really like the look of these beds, but after 9 months of having them I am disappointed in the amount of chipped paint on the bed. The first week we had them we switched the ladder from one side to the other which left noticeable spots where the paint came off. The paint has continued to chip in other areas too. They are darling beds and overall they look great in my girls' room, but I didn't expect them to have to be handled so delicately.

Sticker Removal

This is not an ordinary sticker, it is made from PAINT. Below is what worked for us:
1. Apply rubbing alcohol to sticker to 'thin' the paint.
2. Heat small sections using a hairdryer on med. heat on high.
3. Use a nylon pot scraper to scrape it off. It has a lg. flat surface, able to put some weight behind & soft enough to not damage anything.
4. Apply canola oil to soak once the sticker is gone to remove adhesive.
Word to the Wise: Remove sticker in a horizontal position. Trying in a vertical position is difficult, tiring and uncomfortable. It doesn't allow proper angle/torque to remove the sticker. ALSO, it is much easier to let liquids 'soak' when not dripping due to gravity.

best quality of anything we looked at and better pricing (bought it on sale whoo hoo!). SO worth the home delivery set up. guys were fantastic. only qualm is that the screw holes on the end of the bed do not have covers (there are 3 on each post). love the trundle option...didn't get it, but will have plenty of space for storage!

Stickers are unacceptable

We purchased the entire suit and assumed after it was all put together that we could remove the sticker but that is not the case. I even called and the store told me to use Goo Gone, but it did not work. It is impossible to remove and remains a major focal point on the bed. It is completely unacceptable.

Great Quality

Great quality bunkbed for my son's room. My only disappointment is the large white sticker that i can't seem to remove from the top headboard. The sticker really should be placed in an indiscreet location....not directly on the headboard. Considering the wood, I am limited to the methods I use to remove the sticker..I don't want to chip or scratch the beautiful finish.

Sticker Removal = Not Happy

We bought these bunk beds and set up separate until my girls are a few years older. The two large warning stickers apparently regulation (one completely in spanish) relate to mattress height safety for top bunk. These stickers come standard on the footboard of one bed and are completely in plain sight. Still working to remove after much frustration, goo gone, heat.... I'm not convinced the beautiful beds even though wonderful are worth having to deal with this problem.

I purchased the Catalina single bed just weeks prior and it was so well made I just had to have the bunk beds. Once again I was not disappointed! The delivery went very smoothly and the installation was a breeze. The kids were buzzing with anticipation to sleep in their super cool beds. I would highly recommend this bed.

I am thoroughly impressed. The bed design, color and quality are superior. But what I love the most about this experience was the quick shipping (for something this large) and the white glove service. After putting together so many IKEA pieces over the years, it was refreshing to come home and find the beds put up and all the cardboard and wrapping cleared away. Highly recommended.

Beautiful BUT check the installation for cracks

I searched the web and could not find a bed that had all the qualities I was looking for except for this one. My girls love the bunk bed and its is truly beautiful. However, I rate this product with 3 stars due to the customer service and installation process. Once the bed was installed, I noticed several large cracks on both the top and bottom bunk side rails which have to be replaced. Word of advice, don't rely solely on the installers to check for damage, do check the product yourself.

My 8 year old has been wanting bunk beds for a long time. We finally splurged and purchased these for his 8th birthday. Wow! They are even more gorgeous in person. The espresso color is really beautiful and the beds are high quality. I am very impressed!!

Gorgeous Bed

Purchased the dark wood Catalina Bunk set for my 4 and 2 year old princesses. The oldest could not wait to sleep in the "castle" up top. Very sturdy and elegant. Sticker removal is a small issue but easy to do if you know the science. Peel off sticker as much as you can as is - this should remove most of the top shiny layer of paper. Rub canola oil over the remainder of the sticker and wood. Allow to sit/soak. Oil deteriorates the adhesive and conditions the wood. With a little gentle scrubbing using fingernail (I have acrylics so they are dull edged) or dry washcloth - you can scrub off the remainder of the sticker and not harm the wood! The beds are gorgeous and I am so pleased with our purchase! You wiil be too!

Great Bunk Bed for the price

We purchased this bunk for our two girls. So far we haven't been able to convince our youngest to sleep on the top but we do own a trundle from a previous PB Kids bed that has worked great. I haven't tried to remove the giant sticker from the top bunk but have read previous reviews that it is a pain. We priced out beds from numerous retailers but have purchased a lot of furniture from Pottery Barn and knew we'd get great quality. My husband loved that he didn't need to put anything together or remove any trash. Love that you can debunk the beds if needed. Overall, very happy with the beds and we got them for a great price.

Elegant Catalina Bunk Bed!

We love the bunk bed as much as our two boys who are sharing a room. Great style and really sturdy. The assembly team did a good job. Though I found the shade darker than I expected the PB bedding my boys already have worked. The two big stickers were placed on the footboard and removing them was a time consuming task! I really like shopping at PB for the quality and choices.

i bought too sets of bunk beds 3 twin beds 2 cribs 2 toddler beds 3 trundles 4 book shelf 5 concell lshelf 4 magizene racks 3 extra large dressers 2 dressers 2 change table with too more dressers and 10 matrisses for the beds and trundle and darcie beding for the twin beds and bunk beds and 24 stoeage buckets and it is all in white i love it all me and all eleven girls love it and my husband love it too thanks pbk
