Great Decision
January 26, 2012
We have had this bed for one week now. My 2 year old and 6 year old LOVE it. I have been surprised by the amount of time they just go top to bottom and back again. They really love playing on the beds as well as being excited to go to sleep at night. We purchased the rustic chestnut finish which is far more beautiful in person than on the picture. The beds are sturdy and are consistent with the high quality that other Pottery Barn products are made. The delivery service was very easy and user friendly to deal with. After shopping around many places for a bunk bed, I am so happy we made this choice.

sturdy and well made
December 26, 2010
We've had this bed in the rustic honey for over a year. I LOVE everything about this bunk bed. The honey is actually a darker finish than I thought, with rich, deep wood grains. It sets nice against the navy and khaki colors on the walls and bedding. It has held up well but not without some dents and scratches, especially on the ladder, but the rustic honey color helps to camouflage it well. We've adjusted the hinges once since it was installed and there is hardly any "give," even when I climb to the top with my 8yr old. The top bunk can be installed over either side, depending on where you want it, so the finials are not attached (often get played with). We get use out of the full size bed when kids need to double up for sleepovers. GREAT BED! Space under the bed for storage, too!

I purchased this for my two boys. I highly recommend it. It's not only a beautiful finish but its very sturdy. I have has the bed for a year and have not had any issues with scratching except slightly behind the latter, but my children have really played hard on this thing.

Perfect Bunk Bed!
November 6, 2012
I have been buying one piece of this camp collection each time there was a sale, and finally ordered the bunk bed. I couldn't be happier! The bunk is very sturdy and great quality. As other reviewers have mentioned, this furniture does tend to scratch easily, but I haven't had a huge problem with it.
This set look fantastic in their room. I don't normally spend so much on furniture, but I truly believe we will keep this for a very long time.

Better bunk bed than we expected
August 7, 2012
We've had the bunk bed for about 3 weeks now and my boys (ages 6 and 8) love it. The quality is great and the design is exactly what we were looking for. Our house was built in 1940 and has the standard 8' ceilings so we were concerned about a bunk bed's height, but there haven't been any issues. A couple of bumps the first few days while getting used to the bed, but otherwise the bed looks and fits perfectly in the space.
We got the espresso wood and it has some red undertones to it which seem to bother only me (I had wanted a truer coffee/chocolate color, but my mom and husband love the wood).
The furniture was delivered within a week of ordering it and the set-up was flawless.
We couldn't be happier with the bed. For the price and quality, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Even for toddlers!
February 28, 2012
Bought this for my grandsons who live with me, and even though they are 18 mos and 3 years old, this bed is great for them. They did not like their cribs AT ALL!. The top railing is safe, and they usually end up sleeping together in the bottom, which is why I bought it full size.
It's also great for those nights when they are scared, and the three of us fit on the bottom.
The wood is beautiful, the set-up service was quick and professional, and I love the dark blue color for boys.

Beautiful and well made
January 24, 2012
I love this bunkbed and so does my son. It is well made, looks great. I originally wanted the espresso, but my son wanted the blue and I am glad we decided on the blue it accents the rest of the espresso furniture. The set up and delivery was worth every penny. The guys were professional, quick and answered all my questions. I read other reviews about scratching easy. I have not found that to be true. It does have some worn areas to make it look "weathed". If you do not like that look you can purchase the touch up pen. I bought it and tried it on the lines. It works great

A Great Bed
September 29, 2011
Well made, takes a licking and keeps on ticking..this is number two for us. We have two boys and they are hard on furniture, but this stands up to the test. Love the two sized. We bought the first on and used them as the toddler beds..

Good product except...
June 27, 2011
Ordered 2 of these + trundles in navy for an actual camp bunk room. They are very sturdy (and heavy -- which is a good thing) and excellent quality. HOWEVER, the paint is really a problem!! If you aren't really careful when putting the ladders on the top bunk, sccrrraaaatch in the most noticeable places! And the corners of the posts are chipping badly from normal wear. We got the beds 2 years ago, but the trundles only recently. I can only imagine the destruction that is going to occur when the painted trundles crash into the painted bed legs... Also, the paint makes the ladders really SLIPPERY. We bought that black sandy grip tape from a hardware store and stuck it on each tread for safety.

Disappointed but still "in love"
June 10, 2011
After years of lusting over EVERYTHING in the Pottery Barn Kids catalog, I finally decided to splurge and order the Camp bunkbed for my 3 and 5 year old boys. I loved everything about it in the beginning, the delivery and set up was great, loved the color (blue), and it fit the space perfectly! After a few days, I started to notice small spots where the paint was chipping off...not sure what was causing it, I gave my boys a stern talking to about being gentle on the bed....but the chipping continued. Shortly after that, I realized that by "ever so slightly" bumping my watch against the bed, the paint would chip off and it was not indeed my boys playing too rough. The paint continues to chip off on a daily basis and I am in the process of trying to get something worked out with PBK. I'm still "in love" with most everything in their catalog, but would really think twice before ordering a large piece of furniture from them again.

Perfect Bunck Bed
February 8, 2011
We purchased this bed for our 4 and 6 year old boys. It is well made and looks great. It is bigger than it appears online so make sure you have a large room for it. The in-home delivery was awesome! No hassel, no mess. It did take a month from purchase to delivery even though it was in stock. Overall we are very happy and our boys LOVE it!

Great Bed
September 25, 2010
Just received my camp full over twin bed. After hunting online for a full over twin bunk, this to me was the best design hands down. I didn't like the designs which look like one bed 'placed' over the other.
Only reason for giving 4 star and not 5 is I expected a deep dark brown 'espresso' color whereas the color has a tinge of a more 'cherry' look, and not a rich deep true brown as depicted online. This may not be an issue for some, but I am very particular about the color and grain of brown stained wood pieces.

Its a big bed!
September 9, 2010
Great bunk bed for my 6 year old son and plenty of room for him to grow. I grew up with a twin bunk bed and only wish I had the larger full mattress on the bottom. We were painting when the bed arrived so we had to assemble it ourselves. Suprisingly, it was a piece of cake. Just make sure and measure twice when ordering this bed to make sure it fits your room. It is pretty big and would be really tough to assemble in a small room. So far so good.

Beautiful blue, well-made bunk bed
April 6, 2010
This bunk bed in blue looks great in person. We wanted something different than wood colors, as we have a lot of wood in our home. It is very well-made and really makes the whole room.

Beautiful bed but "UNIVERSAL TRUNDLE" doesn't fit
February 19, 2010
Just an FYI. We bought this gorgeous bed in Navy blue a year ago. We also decided to buy the "universal trundle" as well. The trundle height is 8.5" and the FULL bed from the bottom to top is 7.5." It doesn't clear the bed. We had to return it and complain.
However, if you get the twin size bunk bed in camp it does clear the bed with the trundle at the bottom because the bed is able to "adjust" to the height of 10.5" at it's highest position so obviously you can put the "universal trundle" which is 8.5" tall below the bottom bunk.
I wanted to review that even though we ended up returning the trundle, we still love the FULL portion of the bed and so do our boys! Hope this review helps.
