Sturdy and Fun!

My son loves his new loft bed! It's a great product ... sturdy and solid (so worth the extra expense - in my opinion). It also looks very nice ... we selected the Sun Valley Espresso finish.

Best Bunk

We bought this bunk bed for our 6yr old and have been looking for awhile - we are so pleased with the quality and versatility of this bunk system! It is all solid wood and very sturdy. The delivery company was very nice and quite helpful. Overall we are extremely satisfied and our 6yr old is thrilled!

After waiting years for this bunk system to go on sale - it finally got discounted a smidge..all my friends kept asking me how I could spend so much on beds for the children knowing that they would outgrow them in a few yrs but my 5 and 7 yr olds are at their most active yrs and I'd much rather trust them jumping on furniture I can depend on. perfect color and after the new smell dissipates..we - the boys as well, love this bunk system

Could be the greatest bed ever built!

Sturdy construction, very attractive, fits a small room nicely and gives much needed storage. Ordered the rustic sun valley espresso and it is a very dark cherry, not much red, which is exactly what I was looking for. The drawers are great for underwear and socks, but you can not put more than 1 twin size sheet set in a drawer. This is the most expensive piece of furniture in my house; however, I will probably have it for a long time and I already absolutely love it!

Beautiful bed

Well made beautiful bed. My son loves setting up a fort underneath and is very excited to have his own desk. We are very happy with our purchase.

May not fit up your stairs in an older home

Please know that a large portion of this bunk system is glued together, and therefore, if you have an older home like ours, it may not fit up your staircase. We had to refuse delivery and have to start over trying to figure out how to make more space in an older home. Somewhat ironic.

Purchased this system for my almost 7 year old son. I've gotta say I've never seen him so exicted! It's an absolutely beautiful piece of furniture. Feels solid and worth the price. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the drawers are so small it's almost funny. Two or three small pieces of clothing will fit into each one. Better for Lego storage or car collections or the like. Thought that perhaps we wouldn't need a dresser as well but that's not the case. But there's lots of shelving and delivery was wonderful (as it is with most Pottery Barn products). I would definetly recommend this sytem!

We have been debating for about 6 months on whether or not to buy this loft bed for our 6 year old. I can't believe we waited so long! It has exceeded our expectations! Our own navy blue twin bed fit and matched perfectly underneath the loft! There is SO much storage between all of the drawers, and shelves. Having the attached desk with more drawers and shelves is such a bonus! The delivery was smooth which made it even more of a bonus not having to assemble anything! My little guy LOVES it! He loves being on the top as well as hiding out underneath! The catalog pictures don't do this product justice. Before purchasing I was concerned that this unit would be very large and overwhelm the room. This is not the case at all, it is just perfect! I expect that this bed will provide many happy years with my son. Worth every penny!

Completely revolutionized my son's room!

I love this bunk. We have a small house, and my two kids share a room for now. We just bought the loft and used my son's twin bed to go underneath. Both pieces are the honey color, which I really like (although our twin bed was not PBK and it still goes well with the loft). Once we had the loft, we were able to move out his desk and dresser and just use this one piece of furniture, which is great! It has totally opened up the room. He loves being underneath the loft and being able to access his bookshelves and desk from his bed.
I do think it is a bit overpriced, but we weren't able to find anything comparable so we went ahead and ordered it.
We've had it for about a month now, and I don't have any trouble making the bed (the top bunk is a pain, but they always are). Has hold up well and seems very sturdy!

For the LONG RUN

I contemplated this bed for months. Seriously, I found out I was pregnant w/ our third and went straight to bunk bed hunting. My 3-yr-old was SO excited when I finally decided on it, and it made transitioning from his toddler bed to the lower bunk very easy. It will be a couple yrs. before his little brother joins him in this "System," but we needed something that maximizes space for the long haul & this IS IT!

Beautiful piece, big functional failure

We searched hi and low for the "right" bunk beds for my son's room (he is 3.) We finally decided on the Camp Bunk system from PBK, even though it was significantly more expensive than others we had seen.
When it arrived and was set up -- it is beautiful. It really is. A nicely made piece of furniture that my son was in love with. But, then that night I went to make the bed (specifically the bottom twin, but both eventually) and realized i couldn't make the bed?? You can't fit in the space to get to the mattress! I'm 5'1" and 105 lbs and couldn't fit! So, I quickly realized this was going to be a big problem! Making a bed is something you do every day -- and it was just too difficult of a task, so we are returning it.
It really was a beautiful set to the eye, but the function and design were not well thought through.

My mom just ordered this bed for me from a pottery barn kids store and I am SOOOO EXCITED! It look so cool and I don't really have a big bedroom so it is perfect... :)

Best Bed Ever!

My younger son has a tiny bedroom and a regular twin bed would have taken up the entire room, so we decided to get him a loft bed. We decided to splurge on this one because it has everything we needed- including a complete desk and lots of storage. It is beautiful and very solidly made. The desk even has a pull out computer keyboard drawer and a hole for the power cord. This is more than a bed- it is an entire new room! My son is so proud of his room now he has incentive to keep it tidy and to make his bed in the morning. Although it is not shown on the website, there are a number of different configurations possible, including having the desk on the inside, which we did because of our extremely small space. It fits perfectly in the room. Also, be advised that the Weathered Navy has a worn in look, which at first I thought were scratches until I pointed it out to the delivery guy and he told me it was supposed to look antique!

glad i splurged

i was debating over whether to spend the extra money to get this bunk bed system. i searched online for months trying to find the perfect bed, but i kept coming back to the camp bunk system. the only thing that was stopping me was the cost. my husband and i finally decided to splurge since it would be something my son would have in his room for many, many years to come. I am so excited that we did! i got the bed today and my kids went nuts over it. it looks perfect in my son's room, the weathered navy is gorgeous and i am 100% satisfied. Let's just hope he stays in bed tonight!

Twin Over Full Bunk

We bought the Camp Twin Over Full Bunk Bed in Blue for our boys 5 years ago now and they are still holding strong and looking great. We have moved 3 times and they have come apart and gone back together just right everytime. Our boys are only 5 and 6 years old and they are rough on everything! I cannot recommend this bed more. It has been the best!!!
