Awesome Kanteens

Great Kanteens - bought one for my daughter and did not pay extra for her name on it....it has held up so well that I bought my younger son one and my daughter a second one (now she has one for school & one for home) and did pay for the name engraving. Both the quality of the kanteens and the quality of the name are superior. I will continue buying these and also giving them away as gifts.

Love the canteen as it's perfect to take along to school my son's backpack. The only downside to the Kanteens is that the paint does chip off after time.

These kanteens are very cute, I love the variety of prints. They are outrageously overpriced but I was able to get them on sale (with free shipping) which is the only reason I purchased them. I would recommend this product if you can get it on sale.

Call Klean Kanteen for Replacement Cap

I bought this for my son in September he was so excited that when the cap leaked everywhere he would not let me return it. Today Dec 2012 I decided to call klean kantee to see if I could buy a replacement cap that worked...to my surprise they said pbk had recieved a defective first round of Kanteens and replaced it at no cost! I have not received it so I have no idea, but my guess is it will work just fine. I could not be happier of course it would have been nice for pottery barn to let us know!! I hope this helps!

Good but leaks

These are cute and my kids like them. The only thing I don't like about them is that when they are tipped over they leak, even when the top is closed. It can be a bit annoying.

Great appearance but not for portability

We loved the artwork of the bottle. I bought one for each of my son and daughter.
My 5y son dropped his and dented the bottom edge, which chipped. The chip is peeling, very much how my nail polish chips/peels after the initial damage.
Ours is leaking from the tiny hole built into the sport cap. I assume this is for purposes of letting air in as they drink. This has created a mess in my kids' matching pbk lunch boxes (which btw the lunch box walls have held up to the extended time of sitting with liquid inside).
I am really disappointed as I love the artwork, but it's useless for keeping in any place where it won't sit upright when not in use.
As stated in the Kleen Kanteen site, the sport cap is not leak proof. I just wish pbk noted that in their descriptions as this was a pricey drink container that doesn't serve a great purpose of children-quality portability.
I will not be buying again.

Leaking Bottle Solved

The Klean Kanteen fits the Plantetbox perfectly, but has always leaked from the air vent. Apparently the caps are supposed to have a clear silicone plug in the air vent, and ours was left off. Customer service was amazing, and sent a replacement bottle out right away.

Trash already

Used it for one day was pleased when I held it upside down it didn't leak, however, after my preschooler used it once at school his new PB backpack was soaked I was so upset. All caps were closed--just believe the reviews, if it leaks, it leaks. In the trash it's gonna go, that was a waste of money for sure.

I bought this for my son and the little ball on the lid fell out and it did leak, as AandAsmom reviewed below- however, i called PB kids customer service and they immediately sent me another one without any problems or hassel what so ever. Kanteen is great and customer service at PBKids is awesome!

Great Product

We have been using the same Darth Vader Klean Kanteen for 2 years (almost daily use) and I absolutely love it. No leaks as of yet! I only gave it a 4 stars because in the past few months it has become very difficult to get the cap off so I say time for a new one.

Disappointed in Kanteens

These leak horribly! Why would they make them if they leak? There is a small hole on top (I am assuming to allow for air flow) that cannot be covered to stop the liquid from going out.
I ordered two of these for my kid's lunch box. We used them for the first time today bringing them in the cooler for a picnic lunch. When we got there we opened the cooler to find everything wet. I will be returning them.
