Love the quality of the backpack, the soccer patch and embroidery. The size of this backpack is great for kids on the go. Enough room for school stuff and useful pockets for snacks, water, change of clothes, etc.

Blue Colton backpack

Looked beautiful out of packaging, was fully functional for about 2-3 weeks until zipper seams began to fray. Disappointed as this was an embroidered product and takes some time to replace not to mention it's fairly expensive to just replace every few weeks.

Very Upset
December 7, 2012
I am a huge fan of pottery Barn Backpacks but was extremely disappointed in this one. My son is 9 now and wanted a more "big boy" looking backpack. While the look was great, the bag has NO SPACE! The main zipper part cannot even hold one of his large textbooks. Pottery barn needs to redesign these to be much bigger! My son literally got 1 week of use out of this bag. Very upset!

not too durable

This backpack is lightweight and had just enough room to fit a 2inch binder and lunch box. However, after exactly three months of use the fabric at the bottom started to wear thin and eventually ripped.

Good looking but does not
September 23, 2012
My sister gave this bag as a gift to my elder kid who started middle school. The bag looks great, stylish etc etc.
The bag lasted exactly 4 weeks. It has worn off from the bottom (the seam at the bottom has come apart) and from the top (the seam near the zipper has come apart). Don't think it is the handling issue as the last bag for the same kid lasted18 more than months.
Won't recommend this bag for school going kids. Don't think I will go with a PB bag ever again

This backpack is very high quality as I've come to expect from pbk from their other backpacks. It looks very nice and stylish and my son loves it. However, it is much smaller than I expected. If you watch the video it holds exactly what they show (a few notebooks and books) with absolutely no room left over. I was hoping he could carry a binder, some books, and his lunch (the mackenzie classic lunch bag) but it is unlikely his lunch will fit. A binder and his lunch fit with no room to spare. He is starting first grade - I can't imagine this backpack would work for older kids.
