Boys' Rugby Stripe Rug
Bold colors in alternating stripes create the look of a traditional rugby shirt. Shedding of loose fibers is normal and is a natural result of the process used to create our high-quality handmade wool rugs. With regular vacuuming and proper care, the shedding will diminish. Super Rug Still Looks Great

We've had this rug in 5x 8 for a couple years. Looks great and plenty soft with the premium pad underneath for playing. As for the shedding - yup, it does for about a year. No loss of stars though - wool rugs shed. All of them. It's the wool, not the manufacturer. If it doesn't shed, then it's not wool. And if it's not wool, then it will wear out and curl up and get uncleanable stains (and then the purchaser will complain about the quality.)

I've had this rug for about 5 months in my baby's room. It's GREAT! I almost didn't get it bc of the other reviews regarding shedding, but I'm so glad I did. It did shed a bit for about the first 8 times I vacuumed, but it was not a big deal at ALL. I think most nice rugs do that at first. I'm VERY happy with it. Great colors that I feel like it will transition into a little boy's room. Great quality! I have another pbarn kids rug that has held up nicely for 3 years.

Be patient - its a great rug

We have 2 of these rugs; one we've had for several years and it's held up beautifully in my daughters play space so we bought another. We've had playdough and food ground into it, potty accidents, etc and it still looks great although I suggest a professional cleaning once a year. The shedding was insane at first but it's long gone. Great rug!

Love it but....

This rug is great! love the colors, the feeling, soft but like everybody says, the shedding is.... a lot! it feels up my vacuum. It is new, so I am hoping that the shedding will stop little by little wich I know it will because I purchase one a year ago, a rug from Pottery barn with the same shedding issues and now (after a year) doesnt shed anymore and looks great! so ladies out there, keep vacuuming and be patient because eventually, in the long run it will stop shedding:)

Terrible shedding

This rug creates more lint balls than any rug we've ever owned, which is particularly terrible in a nursery. I would not purchase this rug for a nursery or child's room unless you want to vacuum every day.

Will not stop shedding!!!!

I really do like the look and feel of this rug. It matches my son's room perfectly and is great underfoot, especially with hardwood floors.
One MAJOR concern is the amount of shedding this rug does! The fluffy blue fibers end up in every room of the house, even downstairs. It also attaches itself to all of our clothes (if we sit on it) and on the other tactiles in my son's room.
I cannot recommend this rug, based on the shedding factor. Maybe when my son gets older and stops running around all over it, the shedding will get better. Until then, I am keeping a vacuum upstairs, ready to go!

The rug is even more beautiful than in the pictures... soooo plush & soft- the perfect place to sit & play! BUT it sheds A LOT! I vacuum daily & it isn't enough! The blue fuzz makes it's way to every room of the house... & if my kids have a "dance party" on the rug, there is enough fuzz left after to stuff a pillow!

Super Cute but . . .

This rug is super cute and looks great on my son's hardwood floors but it sheds like crazy. I have vacuumed it many times and each time the vacuum is completely full of lint from this rug. I love the way it looks and feels but the shedding makes it hard to recommend.

This rug fits perfectly in my grandsons room and he loves playing on it. It has a plush feeling when walked upon even without a rug pad.

Wow, what a great high quality rug. I purchased the blue one for my son's bedroom. It is very thick and SOOOO comfortable to stand on - so soft - my toddler loves this rug. I only regret that I have purchased my 8x10 playroom rug from Land of N.....the rug is half as thick as the PBK one for the same price. I highly recommend this rug. Excellent !!
