Wonderful changing table!

We bought the Berkeley Changing table in white almost 5 years ago and I am happy to report that it still looks wonderful! Granted we only have used it for our one child, but it was in constant use for the first 3 years. After that we took the changing table off the top and used it as a chest of drawers in his room. There has been very minimal scratching and the finish is still in excellent condition. A very heavy and sturdy piece of furniture that now resides in our guest bedroom. Would absolutely recommend this to a friend.

Scratching not a problem with simple precautions

This changing table is beautiful and very functional. It gives our baby's room a sense of dignity because it is a heavy, substantial piece (and not a cheap, flimsy item). I was worried about SCRATCHING after all the reviews, and so I put some felt on the bottom of the baskets. You can't see the felt, and the baskets slide right in and out without damaging the wood. The (very nice) delivery man said that this type of wood is a soft wood that scratches easily so to invest in a wood/paint pen to take care of little touch ups. We have done so once or twice, and the table still looks perfect! Very happy I took a chance!

Functional Dresser

Nice looking dresser that goes well with crib which is also from PB. Espresso color is great for city apt. Seems sturdy, def functional. I can't speak about durability of product as we have it for barely 1 month. Happy with it so far, but shipping cost is outrageous.

No baby yet but changing table is awesome!

Our baby is due in 6 weeks so I cannot comment on how it holds up but it just arrived this week and it is very heavy, sturdy, and certainly beautiful. It matches the antique white sleigh crib perfectly. Also, I didn't want to buy the changing pad or baskets from PB Kids and was worried that a standard pad wouldn't fit but I bought a regular changing pad at local super center store and it fits perfectly. I also found some cute baskets there that fit in the 3 cubbies of the changing table perfectly as well. I was happy to save some money there and they still fit nicely. I agree with an earlier review about the fact that the $150 delivery fee is ridiculous. 2 men carried it up our stairs and walked right back out the door and that costs $150?!? That is stupid, IMO and thus, the 4 star instead of 5.

Not Happy with quality.

We were excited to get this changing table for our son. However within 6 months the finish was coming off. This changing table wasn't/isn't even used full time as we have 2 changing tables in the house. After 2 years of minimal use, it looks like horrible. We are very disappointed. I really wish we didn't have to hand it down to the baby that's on the way.
On the other hand the PB crib's finish help up wonderfully even where my son bit it.

Good, but incredibly expensive shipping.

Good, sturdy construction. We liked the fact that the top is removeable. Delivery was a breeze, but I think $150 is a little crazy. It literally took the guys 30 seconds to get it into my house. I would have given it 5 stars if not for the shipping fee, and the fact that the drawers don't slide as easy as i would want them to.

Nice Table

I bought this changing table for my daughter in early 2004, and it is still in fantastic shape today. The finish still looks beautiful, the frame is still sturdy, and the drawers glide easily.
It's a lovely table and I'm happy to put it to use for my second child this fall.

I bought this changing table and really have enjoyed it. It is very solid. The drawers could move a little easier but the area on top is great for the first year or so. It holds a lot of clothes. My husband put the top on and had to run out and buy better screws. I'm thinking about buying a second table for downstairs on our next baby.

I bought the Berkeley change table for my son in espresso. It lasted less than a year. The wood veneer started stripping on the sides. Also the drawer bottom came apart. I was very disappointed with the overall quality. I'm on baby number two, and have decided to go with the Oeuf line instead.

I purchased this in early 2007 and have absolutely loved it since the moment it came. It worked well as a changing table and is also awesome as a dresser. The quality has convinced me to continue purchasing PB and PBK furniture. It is much better than other items I have purchased from local furniture stores.

Would not recommend this to anyone. I have always found PB products to be of good quality and was extremely disappointed with this changing table. The veneer was peeling off in various parts of the table for no reason at all.
