Bordered Pique Bassinet Bedding
Tuck your newborn into our sweet and sturdy bassinet. 37.5" wide x 22.5" long x 38.5" high Bassinet is tightly woven by hand of wicker that's been sealed, with wood detailing and a cross-braced platform for stability. Top can be removed to create a separate sleep basket, which can easily be transported anywhere in the house. Bottom shelf provides extra storage. Rolls on locking casters and includes waterproof mattress pad. Bedding (sold separately) is tailored from pure cotton pique and cotton percale and is detailed with a classic, satin-stitched embroidered frame of color against a white ground. Bedding set comes with a bumper and bassinet skirt. (Fitted sheet sold separately.) Bumper has lofty polyester fill. Fitted sheet is sold separately. Catalog / Internet only.

This is beautiful except it says it is white on white and I was expecting it to have a white Border but it was all one fabric and no border.

Love the bassinet but bedding not so much

I bought this bassinet a few years ago before my son was born and absolutely loved it. Although as others have mentioned, the mattress is thin and of poor quality. I felt very soft sheets (along with a sheet protector) made it soft enough. However, I recently ordered the new piqué bedding for my daughter who will be arriving in one month and it is awful. Although its pretty, it just doesn't fit the bassinet well at all. The new sheet is a terrible thin cotton. I miss the soft velour of the old bedding.

Ordered this bassinet for my niece. It's beautifully constructed. Classic and solid. This truly has the makings of an heirloom piece. I will say, the mattress included is a joke. The outside of the matress is cheesey plastic. It's barely an inch thick and flimsy. I can't imagine having an actual baby sleep on it. I did order a mattress that I read about in other posts.

Beautiful & Sturdy bassinet/poor mattress

I bought this bassinet for my first grandchild. I found it to be beautiful and very sturdy, Only problem, is the quality of the mattress. Very flimsey. I ended up ordering a custom naturepedic mattress, which was thicker and firmer. For the cost of this bassinet,Pottery Barn should certainly invest in a better quality mattress.

Beautiful but not comfy

This is a beautiful bassinet and I haven't seen another like it. The construction is solid and the shelf underneath is a dream, it holds tons of diapers and all the little stuff you need for changings day or night. My baby boy used the bassinet for the first few months with no problem, but suddenly he stopped sleeping for longer than 20-30 minutes. We started to realize he wasn't as comfortable as in it as he was in the crib, couch our our bed. We ended up having to put him in bed with us because he was not comfy on this mattress. My only complaint is that for this price, Potter Barn should invest in a better quality mattress. I read other reviews about the mattress and asked a clerk at the store, who claimed she never heard a complaint. I went back and gave her the first one. HOpefully, they hear this and make a change. Otherwise, it is beautiful to look at.

Bedding is good quality. Sent it back though because I like the old solid pink/blue bedding better. White is just plain, and becomes dirty faster, in my opinion. And pink is so much more girlie.

Pretty with an uncomfortable mattress

This bassinet looks very nice and the bedding is ok. However, the mattress is disgraceful, very thin and if you put your hand on it gently you can feel the wicker pressing through. The bassinet is also an unusual size, so it is hard to get a replacement mattress. I ordered a custom size from naturepedic that is 2" thick and it is 1000 times better. If I had my time again I would purchase a bassinet from elsewhere.

Simply beautiful

This bassinet is so beautiful that it makes me want to go and look at my baby in it all the time. The bedding is very cozy. The wheels are not that great, the bedding can shrink, the skirt can get on the way, the sleeping surface may not be that firm, but I don't mind. It's just beatiful. Our first girl slept in it, and our 5-week old is now using it. I sleep great at night knowing she's sleeping in there. We'll keep it for our grandkids!

I really like the look of the bassinet. It was easy to put together etc.
There are a few things that I didn't love. After washing the bassinet skirt (according to directions) it seems to have shurnk. It is also a pain to get it to lay flat even after ironing. The sheets aren't my favorite either - they seem cheap.
All together I really like it though.

Not what I expected from PB

I currently have 3 kids. This bassinet was a baby gift for my 1st child. He hated sleeping in it and so did my other two. I was so disappointed because it's so adorable and seems functional. But if you have 3 babies that never slept in it, the purchase was a waste. The mattress is flimsy, poor quality. Having my 4th, will buy a new mattress & see how that will work.

not so functional as it seems

I ordered this bassinet for my first child and I have to say that I was a little disappointed. Even though the bassinet looks nice, it's not as functional as it would seem. The mattress pad is pretty flimsy and doesn't seem as thick or sturdy as it should. The wheels don't work so great either, I'm pretty sure I have scratched my wood floors from trying to maneuver this piece around. Side note on the bedding, once you have the skirt on its pretty difficult to use the under basket area and I had to pin it on to keep it in place or when I would roll it, it would catch the bottom of the skirt, every time! This bassinet looks pretty in the magazine and in your nursery but when it comes to functionality I would get something else.

I love he bassinet and bedding, super cute and very versatile. The only complaint I have is DO NOT wash the bedding according to the recommendations. I did and mine shrunk about 2 inches off the floor and 3 inches along the side. Cold water wash and hang dry is what the direction should say. Other than that I would buy this product again and will definitely use it again and again.

Beautiful, but small sheets & hard to iron

First of all, I inherited this bassinet and pad from my sister and the pad is EXTREMELY noisy. It crinkles loudly if you even touch it the slightest, so I'm wondering if it will wake my baby up. Has anyone else experienced this, or could it be due to it being old?
The bassinet is stunning as are the bumper and skirt. My only complaints are that the skirt is amazingly difficult to iron, and the sheets shrink and wrinkle easily. The sheets are really pretty poor quality - I'm considering making my own.

I love this bassinet! I love how well made it is. The moses basket itself is very high quality and not flimsy at all. I feel comfortable putting my son in the basket itself and moving it whatever room I am in. But I also like that it rolls, and if I want to keep the basket in it's place, I can, and just roll the entire unit. The wicker is woven well and isnt coming apart at all. I have the brown color and love it.

I am extremely happy with both the espresso bassinet and the white and pink bedding that I purchased with it. It is just beautiful! The shelf underneath is useful for holding baby clothes and items and I love that I can either wheel the entire bassinet anywhere in the house or take out the top portion and carry it to another room with me! Just be careful as I have had a few of my baby's dresses get caught on the bassinet and unfortunately they ripped. Aside from this, I am very pleased with it.

We love our bassinet, it is so sturdy... the moses basket top part is NOTHING like the flimsy moses baskets at bru and elsewhere.
