I first bought this basketball hoop when my son was about 4 years old. Now he's 11 and I bought him a second one because the first one finally wore out. He challenges his dad to who can score the most points and they spend hours in his bedroom playing together. I thought 11 might be too old for this game but apparently not. I would definitely recommend this product for young and 'older' kids!

This hoop is of great quality and craftsmanship. It works great behind our 3.5 year old son's closet door. He loves it and "practices" his basket shooting - it is the one activity he doesn't seem to mind doing on his own.

Our son loves the basketball hoop and plays with it every day. It took him a few weeks to warm up to it as he was just learning the game (he's the youngest on his team at 5 years old). But once he got the hang of it, we couldn't stop him. Everyday he'll either play on his own or ask his dad to play too. The ball is just the right size for in-the-house play. We have a good size area around the hoop, about 8' x 8', and actually have it hooked over our front door. We would definitely recommend this!

Perfect for our family

We have this goal on the door in our family room. Overall, we have been very pleased. It works well and looks even better. My 3-year old loves keeping score on the chalkboard.
I do agree with the previous poster about foam backing. That would have been a nice addition. I am constantly worried that the door will become damaged. Maybe I will add some foam, too. I also agree with the comment about the ability to fold the rim up when not in use. My husband tends to hit his head on the rim when the door is open!

For an indoor hoop, this one is really great. Easy to hang over the door but even better attached to the wall. Easy to do either. It's one thing that all of our kids can use (ages 14, 4 and 3). The backboard and rim are very sturdy and the ball is soft....which means, of course, the backboard and hoop stay in place while the ball doesn't hurt anything or anyone!
Honestly, a little over-priced but there aren't any other hoops out there that are better! And the only real downfall is that they don't offer a girlie one with flowers on it with a pink ball. My daughter requested one for her room as well except with flowers and a pink ball!

Great product, can even be hung on the door without having to permanently set onto wall or door using the supplied bracket. Would be nice if had some foam backing so wouldn't make a thump when ball hits the backboard; improvised and added a bit of foam backing ourselves. Would also be nice if basket could lock in place when folded, but we improvised there as well with string. Overall, though, a good quality product.

I bought this as a decoration for my son's sports themed nursery. Being only three weeks old, he is way too young for it. However, my two daughters and my husband have been caught more than once in the room playing basketball and having a wonderful time! It is very high quality and looks adorable as a final touch to the room!

Ordered this for my son. It's a really nice size. I was shocked by the overall quality...very sturdy and solid backboard with a real metal rim. Not at all like the plastic ones you see elsewhere. Very easy to assemble.
