Pictures are deceiving

The pencil light is an awesome fixture, but when I received it in the mail I was surprised that the electrical cord was so conspicuous. In the picture on line and in the catalog the electrical cord is not visible. I assumed since it was LED lighting, no problem. I'd like to mount the fixture above my son's bed, but the electrical cord makes it look awkward just hanging down on the wall.
