Pretty but quality is poor

I was surprised that the drawers only pull out a bit over half way so it is hard to reach to the back. They also don't come all the way out so I really struggled to get new knobs installed (I didn't use the PB knobs). They are also not on sliders so I found one of the top drawers very difficult to pull open. Even after putting wax on the wood it is too hard for my 6-year old to pull it open.
The edges of both dressers had small dents along the sides. Like they were lightly banged on walls during transit.
They are very pretty but I would definitely NOT spend the money again.

DRAWERS TOO SMALL

Although I have been quite impressed and happy with all of our other products from PBK, I cannot recommend this drawer chest to anyone. Although it looks quite cute with the butterfly knobs, it is not very functional. The drawers, besides being way too small (more narrow than the anderson dresser), also only come out half way making access to clothes at the back difficult. We purchased this as I wanted more storage than the Anderson dresser, but if I was able to change my mind I would. I would also consider buying a Thomas extra-wide dresser as it would likely match the anderson bed, and would provide extra storage. Or I would simply just get the anderson dresser and add in some other type of storage. I wish I was able to return this without losing 20%... It does look cute in the room though :)

Problems with the Drawers

First dresser arrived with damaged drawers that didn't open well, second dresser arrived this week with drawers that stick even worse than the first one did. I placed this order in April and it is now November! I am disappointed since all of my other furniture from PBK is great. Hope the 3rd dresser is of the quality I expect from Pottery Barn.

Great for girls!

I ordered the Anderson Drawer Chest and bedside table for my daughter. She has had the twin Catalina bed for 5 years and these pieces were just the right size for her room and match the Catalina furniture perfectly! The Anderson Drawer Chest is smaller than the Catalina Drawer Chest and we like the classy look of the bedside table. We have been very happy with Pottery Barn furniture - my daughters are 8 and will have this furniture for many more years to come!

perfect dresser to grow into

Well, now that we have finally received this drawer chest after three months on backorder, then having the wrong item delivered, then having to wait again since we had to re-order it, I can say that we are very pleased with our choice and it was well worth the wait and hassle. Our daughter is just 4 and while she can just reach the top drawers, she cannot see into them, so I store out-of-season items on the top row for now. We chose this drawer chest over the Catalina dresser because the Catalina dresser barely hit the top of my thigh and she would have outgrown it very quickly. She also has a small room, so the narrow, but higher drawer chest was the best option. I will say, however, that (on her carpet anyway) it was quite easy to tip so we installed the included tip-resistent kit. The Anderson drawer chest matches her white Catalina bed perfectly, and she will easily be able to use this drawer chest until she is ready to move out on her own.

A complete nightmare

This piece was ordered three months ago for my daughter's "big girl" bedroom. We still have yet to receive the item undamaged. The first drawer chest we receieved had a cracked frame so the drawers were resting on each other and could not be opened without the drawers falling off the frame. A replacement was sent, with this one, too, having a cracked frame. A third replacement was issued and recieved with scratches all over the chest. (As soon as the delivery men unboxed it they showed me the damage and that one had to be returned, as well)It's as if the company has not inspected the pieces before shipment/the pieces are damaged during shipping. We have purchase PBK furniture in the past and had never had any problems. We will not purchase PBK furniture in the future. This experience has been a total nightmare!

Cheaply finished

after having this furniture line for only 10 month....the finish on the dresser is ruined! My daughters piggy bank was sitting on top of the dresser....(this bank is not heavy and the 4 legs are soft plastic) the other day i moved the bank to find the bank had settled into the finish and was stuck to the dresser. I had to pry the bank from the dresser in order to move it and now i have 4 REALLY bad spots in the top of the dresser. This would not have happened if the dresser was finished properly. OH and here is something pottery barn doesnt advertise....NO WARRANTY! =)

Great little girl's room dresser!

Very nice piece of furniture with the right proportions for a little girl's room. The drawers are sturdy and the piece overall is very solid. My only criticism is that the white is more offwhite than the picture on the web seemed to indicate. If you are unsure about matching with other white furniture, definitely get a swatch.

Anderson nightstand

We ordered this for our 5 year old daughter to go with her Catalina bed and dresser. We liked the Anderson nightstand better because it had a drawer and door, rather than open spaces. When it arrived it was HUGE!!! It was as tall as the dresser. We are returning and ordered the Catalina nightstand instead. The quality was excellent, actually better than Catalina, but it does not work for us. This would be better for an older girl.

We love this nightstand

This nightstand came in perfect condition and all we had to do was twist in the legs. (I no longer buy furniture you have to assemble). Anyway, it is gorgeous and looks like it cost more than it did. The drawer and cabinet open very smoothly. We love it and I guess other people do too because it was on back order for about 3 months. Worth the wait.

Sturdy set

We have had this dresser and nightstand set, along with the matching Anderson bed for almost a year now. Our 2.5 year old daughter loves her big girl furniture and it holds up to her crazy antics! When we first purchased this set my daughter would hide in the nightstand!!! I love that it has the cabinet underneath to store books and such for bed time. The dresser if fairly tall but the drawers are wide and pretty big so they hold quite a bit. We have been very pleased with this set thus far and are confident that it will see her off to college! Thanks PBK for another great product!

Beautiful dresser

I bought this dresser for my 8 yr. old and we are very pleased with it. Excellent quality and the drawers are spacious and sturdy. It's a little tall for my daughter but this is something she will grow into.

Anderson Drawer Chest & Nightstand

We swapped out the white knobs for the bright pink, polka dot knobs. The knobs were diffictult to install. You have to cut the screw down to size.
Other than that, these pieces blow us away! The pink knobs are what truly set it off. It's so darn cute! Coupled with the Benjamin Moore "Moonlight" on the walls, pink curtains and colorful bedding, her room looks just like the catalog pictures. We love it. Best of all, our daughter loves it!

Solid piece of furniture

Once again, our Pottery Barn furniture arrived promptly, well-packed, with easy directions for putting on the bun feet. The nightstand is a solid little piece of furniture, with good storage for my 12-year old. The bun feet, tall profile and cabinet door make it just a bit more interesting than your average nightstand - we love it.
