The net has no slack, and the frame is actually BLACK not brown/bronze...
It messed up my color scheme, and looks a bit off.

but the idea of it is nice- seems like it will hold up with time. Just read the reviews before so you know what you are getting into, as the description on the website is inaccurate.

Great for Sports Themed Room...

This shelf is a really cute idea & creative way to store balls & add a decorative touch to a sports themed room! Although the description says oil rubbed bronze, it actually looks black to me. The instructions that came with the item had terrible pictures so, I printed the photo online to determine assembly and proper hanging direction. The net is very tight; it may give over time w/ some weighted items in it. I suggest placing this out of the way (over a bed or dresser) to keep kids from grabbing the bar to hang onto it or to get a ball from the net and ripping it out of the wall. Although I think this is pricey for what you get, it does add a nice touch to the room.

I purchased this to go with my sons varsity bedding. I thought it would be a neat way to put up balls and such. This has turned out to be my favorite item in his room! It adds a little extra something in the room! The description says that it is oil rubbed bronze, however it looks black in person. It still turned out great though. I was a little dissapointed that the net does not give as much slack as it shows in the picture...but overall I'm well pleased.
