Airplane Finial & Hardware Set
Designed to fuel the imagination, our Airplane finials were inspired by a boy's endless fascination of all things that go zoom. Finials are cafted of enameled aluminum and rendered in exacting detail. Rod and wall brackets are nickel-finished. Set includes 2 finials, a rod and wall brackets.

My son LOVES these

I really like these and find that they are better quality than previous reviews, the planes are metal. I thought they were a bit on the pricey side but I felt it was something that would make my son really like his room more and this it true. However I find that the screws that they give you to attach the planes with and the washers aren't the right solution, the rubber washers are too big you can see them even though they are clear they are to wide and not thick enough and the split washers aren't right either, my husband attached the screws all the way in the slots and it seems as if the screws are too big, the planes are loose and spin around the screw. I guess we will keep playing with them to make it work. But I do think they make the room look nice. If you have kids who love planes they will love having this in their room, my son says goodnight to them each night and he likes to have one of the extra planes with him as a toy, we bought an set of holdbacks but only needed one.

Airplane Finial issues

I love the design but there are hardware issues to be aware of. Because the finials are so heavy they make the inner rod spin which causes the airplanes to hang upside down. We are still in the process of working on a fix but as of right now we haven't found one.

MUST READ - DESTROYED WALLS

The construction of the brackets and the screws for this item destroyed my walls. The plastic wall anchors broke, the screws stripped and made huge holes in my dry wall when I tried to screw the brackets in. Now I have to hire someone to repair this damage. I hang curtains in every room, so trust this wasn't a user error. Think twice before you use the hardware this product comes with.

Quality Product but don't let the picture fool you

So far I really like the quality of the rod and airplane finials. The only complaint is that the picture shows no center mount but when it came in the mail it had three mounts and recommended using all three. This threw off the measurements since we had to mount it above the framing of the window. Ended up sending back the curtains and went with the floor length set which we didn't like as much.

Cheap Construction

Screws were stripped during install and removal. Two right planes were shipped to us so we had to request the correct sizes. Planes aren't even made of metal. Just spraypainted plastic or styrofoam-like material. Very disappointing.

This is really cute for my grandson's room. However, the one plane does not fit just right and angles upward. My husband could not get it to "fly" level. I also would have liked the rod to have been larger around. And it would really have been super to have a lamp with the same motif. But, it is cute.

Worth the splurge

I am so happy I splurged on the airplane curtain rods in oil-rubbed bronze for my boys' room. They are 5 and 3 and love their airplaine themed room so I just had to have these. With green gingham panels hung on drapery rings to go with their Kasey bedding in navy, the room is almost perfect. My only regret is not buying the holdbacks with the panels and rod because now they are soldout online. Boo!

Very Nice

The curtain rod and finials are very nice quality. We haven't put them up yet because the drapes haven't come in yet, but I have assembled it to see what it will look like and it was very easy assembly and looks very nice in our son's nursery.

These finials are very well made and absolutely fabulous flying out from the windows! My son lit up when we installed these he loved them so much. They look great paired with the navy blackout panels we installed with them!

We got this rod and finial set for our 4 year old son's room. It is really cute with the navy panels we got to go with it. We chose the bronze finish for the rod. The set is of a high quality and it is very good looking. The airplanes on the ends of the rod are perfect for a young boy. We are very happy with this purchase.

curtain rod is very good quality. very pleased with product. the airplane and truck finials are very cute. Dad didn't like plane as he is a pilot and knows a lot about planes and the plane is a Japanese war plane. He wasn't excited about that at all.

Perfect Nursery Accent

We bought 2 of the airplane curtain rods for the two windows in our future son's airplane-themed nursery. The hardware was well-crafted, sturdy, and beautifully-made. The finials are much nicer in person than online. They are the PERFECT accent to his nursery and well-worth every penny. At first I thought they were a little over-priced but that was before I saw how well-crafted they were.
