This lamp looks really cute hanging above the kids easel in the playroom. Love the bright red color.

This light looks great in kid’s bedroom. It is easily adjustable to the height you need, but, as other reviewer mentioned, you cannot readjust it after installing it, which would have been nice. A word of caution, if you made a string that holds it to a certain height too short, don’t pull the string back, unscrew a spring in a piece preventing the string from coming back and carefully pull the string out. The pendant came poorly painted; it’d even stain a duster, so given the price we’ve paid for it I can only give it 3 stars.

This is a very cool lamp and I would recommend it, but I think more information should be given about it so you know exactly what to expect. It is a lot bigger than I thought. It lists the shade size as 6" diameter and the overall size as 18". The bottom of the shade is 18". I looked at the shade diameter alone and expected it to be 6" at it's widest point. Also the accordion part of it hangs at it's full extension. If you want it shorter then you have to adjust the string before installing so that it doesn't extend the full length. I thought that after it was hung I could adjust the height that it hangs from the ceiling whenever I wanted, but it always falls to the most extended position. I had planned to hang it over a desk and pull it down closer while being worked at and then pushed up when finished, but it has to be a set height before installation. The very top of the pendant where it attaches to the ceiling is a rectangle about 4"x6", not a square as shown in the picture.
