Abigail Large Jewelry Box
Carved with delicate details on the outside, this charming jewelry box opens to reveal a dainty ballerina inside that twirls to pretty ballet music, plus a mirror and plenty of special spots for tucking, hanging or securing treasures. 10.5" wide x 8" deep x 5" high Delicate detailing highlighting feminine lines, and an ornate lock with a turn-key closure (tassled key included). Lined with soft, flocked fabric ideal for storing delicate items. Comes with a light skinned and a dark skinned fairy ballerina. Plays the theme to Swan Lake when open. Personalization is available for an additional $7.00.

Not so happy with the letters

I really like the box, the only thing that I wasn't so happy was that the letters that pottery barn used to write down the name are stickers.

I love it. It is a gift for our grand daughter's first birthday. Purchased because of the dark skinned ballerina included. It is next to impossible to find products that are inclusive of brown skin.

Beautiful Jewelry Box

I bought this jewelry box for my daughters 4th birthday and I am so happy that I did. It is a beautiful jewelry box and my daughter is in love with the music and the spinning ballerina. She will be able to use it for many years to come.
I wish I would not have gotten the box monogrammed mostly because I can see this box being passed down to a future generation (I thought of this when my daughter asked if I had one as a little girl). Also the monogram is actually a sticker but does look nice.

3rd time was a charm

The first box I received had the name stuck on (I say "stuck on" b/c it's a sticker) crooked and the inside of the box's hardware looked very beat up, like it was assembled quickly and harshly. I returned it and the second box came with the name crooked AGAIN. This time the box was not painted properly - it looked like just one coat of paint had been applied carelessly to the top and you could see obvious brush strokes and the naked wood underneath. So I returned it again. The third time was a charm though - they finally got it right. The name is straight and the box is good quality. While I was unhappy with the fact that I had to return the item twice, I was VERY happy with PBK's customer service. They had UPS come to MY house to pick the item up the very next day each time, and it was all at no cost to me. The process of calling and talking to customer service was seamless and pleasant.

I kept this Jewelry box as it goes better with my daughter's white furniture, I returned the white jewelry box as the color isn't even close to white. I would stick with buying the pink if you have white furniture....

It's ashamed! The jewelry box is nice! The personalization was a sticker, an off centered sticker! I am returning it! Never would expect this from pottery barn!

I saw this jewerly box online and thought it would be perfect. My, daughter has been wanting a music box. It, arrived fast and no damage. But, I couldn't believe that the personalization was a sticker of her name placed on top ( pbk should put that in their discription of the jewerly box)!!! It, was off centered and didnt want to mess with the hassle of returns so I just kept it. Just, worried it won't last long. The tassel on the key already came apart and is no longer on the
key (didn't let her play with the key either). It, was pricey but it is a very nice jewerly box,

I purchased two of the Abigail Large Jewelry Boxes for my nieces Christmas presents. What a grand choice!!! A perfect ensemble for precious keepsake jewelry and accessories. The girls really loved the ballerina and classical music! A timeless piece for any age girl! Just simply gorgeous....

personalization is terrible

This was a Christmas gift for my grandaughter so I went ahead and gave it to her. The personalization as others had reviewed was TERRIBLE! There is sticky residue from the "stickers" that are used and I was hesitant to try to remove it without removing her name. As others have said Pottery Barn usually is better.

Every girls' dream box!

Both of my girls received this jewelry box (one pink and one white) for Christmas, and they loved it! It's sturdy, well made and adorable. The music the box plays is pretty, and the key to lock it up is extra fun for the girls....only downfall will be keeping up with the keys!

Don't lose the key!

We purchased this product for my daughter's birthday. She fell in love with it. It's nicely made and well-designed. However, it wasn't long before she locked the box with her jewelry in side it and lost the key (she is, after all, a child!). It's nearly impossible to replace the key. Several calls to the store and the 1-800 number were useless. Be sure you put the key in a safe place.

My 8 yr old granddaughter got her 1st jewelry box for Xmas. She loves it but then not ready to use jewelry. She like the idea of a key to the box. Maybe in a year she will rate at a 5 star. I love it. Ibelieve every little girl should have a jewerly box

Each of my girls got these as their baptism gift. I do love them. The only reason it's a 4 as both of them had to be replaced because the name came crooked. They are $59 plus $7 for personalization - for that, the name should be handpainted on the top, not a cheesy sticker. I still like them though.
